A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

Dangerous descent is a story-driven survival horror game for the NES retro console.

The game draws inspiration from famous games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill.  Players will need to collect items, find keys, solve riddles and, of course, fight monsters.

The game has animations for deaths and other events.

The game will have multiple endings and different paths to completion. It can be played on an NES emulator, and I plan to release a physical cartridge with the game in the future.

The game is currently in the early stages of development.

This is a really ambitious project, but will be super cool if you can pull it off!  From what I gather, the demo is just the outdoor area and first room of the house - none of the doors inside are open-able?

Hope you don't mind some minor bug reports as I play through...

Interacting with the statue tells me it's an "old and dirty sofa"

You'll need to add a hard wall in here somewhere to prevent your character from wrapping if you don't jump up the stairs:

The boxes on either side of the couch report back as "green grass"

Thank you very much for the detailed comment. This was an early version of the mansion, which was based on Dangerous Dave 2. Tomorrow I will post a new full demo version of the game. There will be a new mansion with secret rooms and riddles. The mansion can be completed and all the main descriptions of items and basic mechanics are added there.

I can't wait to check it out!  I'm playing this stuff on original hardware, too.  I have an Everdrive N8 Pro.  I haven't found anything it can't handle yet.
